6th round, pick 217: Corey Levin IOL, Chattanooga

Grade: B+

Any time you get a player after pick 200 who even makes the roster out of camp, you have earned a “C” grade. Either you found someone at a clear position of need who didn’t embarrass himself in camp or you found a talented player who probably needs a little bit of polish but who shows promise.

I think in Corey Levin the Titans got some of both. Not only did he look very good in his spot duty at center (his true position), but he has looked good for long stretches in the preseason.

I’m not sure that anyone outside the building can make a case that Corey Levin isn’t one of the Titans top-5 offensive linemen based on his tape from this year. I think that next year the Titans should seriously consider letting him fight for the starting center job and then let Ben Jones, Josh Kline and another IOL fight for the remaining guard positions.
