This might come off as a little strange, but I have a serious question about the Tennessee Titans. I’m not alone in thinking what I’m about to say.

Many may not like the question or may be wanting a deeper analysis, but that’s not what you’re going to find in here today. I can’t be the only one that is dumbfounded by the Tennessee Titans as of late. If you told me at the beginning of the season that the Titans’ record going into Week 11 would have been 5-4, I would not have been very shocked. A new coach and a whole new system takes time, but if you were to show me the road map of how the Titans got to the point of 5-4, I would have laughed at you and thrown a Jake Locker jersey at your face. So, let’s go through their season to this point.

The Titans start their season with the Miami Dolphins on the road and lose. That’s fine. Then they beat a healthy Houston Texans team at home. At this point, people are thinking Marcus Mariota may not be the guy for the Titans and that Blaine Gabbert should be the starter (not enough time to talk about that). Now they are in Jacksonville and beat the Jags in a really ugly game, and people start the process of believing in Number 8 again.

The following week, the Titans find themselves in OT with the Super Bowl championship-defending Philadelphia Eagles in what might be the greatest finish in Nissan Stadium history (not including the MCM). Then the month of October hits and things get scary fast. They re-sign WR Nick Williams again and they lose to the Bills…er…uh… I mean Nick Williams loses to the Bills. The Titans come back to Nashville to find themselves in the worst game played in Nissan Stadium, falling to the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco, getting shutout in the process. In order to finish their October schedule, they jump across the pond to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in London. Within the game, they forget they have Derrick Henry in their backfield and botch a two-point conversion attempt that would’ve won the game.

The sweet relief of the bye week hits and at this point you truly thought they might lose during the bye week somehow, but they don’t, and now they are on the “biggest” stage facing “America’s Team” on Monday Night Football in Week 9. That’s when everything changes for the Titans. They beat the Dallas Cowboys on the road, then come back home to Nashville and beat the other half of last year’s Super Bowl matchup in the New England Patriots, doing what not a lot of teams have done before: making Tom Brady quit.

What happened to the Titans during the bye week? Did they all start drinking Michael’s secret stuff? Because this has been the craziest season, and now we see the Titans getting ready for must-win games with the playoffs on the horizon. Anyone that tells you they know with 100% accuracy how the Titans are going to finish or what will happen game by game for the Titans are just straight up lying to you. I have never seen a team be so all over the place in a season. It’s truly insane, so that leads me back to this question: What is going on with the Tennessee Titans?
