Weakest groups of the week: TE, WR and RB

This feels weird because even though I graded these positions the three worst, I think there is a lot of long term promise.

Jonnu Smith and Luke Stocker are going to be good enough to be the 2 and 3 when Delanie Walker comes back, and this is a great opportunity for Smith to show that he can be that guy as the season goes along.

At running back, I think Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry are a really good 1/2 punch and between the two of them you have everything you want. You could use another young body there sure, but David Fluellen wasn’t active and he gives you something on special teams to really round out the group.

Wide receiver is the one position that keeps cropping up. Davis and Taylor look like they are going to be capable starters in the NFL and maybe more. Where the issue comes from is the Titans have no one that you look at and think that they could be a great slot player.

Sure, Taylor or Davis could play there, but they do their best work outside. The Titans need their version of Wes Welker to move the chains and steal YAC on those crossing routes.

This role has been occupied by Delanie Walker for so long that it hasn’t mattered, but either they are going to find something in Jonnu Smith or Nick Williams, or they are going to have to look this offseason.
