Defensive line: D

Can someone guess how many tackles for loss/sacks the 4 defensive tackles combined for in this game? If you guessed 2 then you nailed it and both were from Jurrell Casey.

Constantly it looked like they were getting their teeth kicked in by the guards and center and there was very little push or penetration at all. And maybe you are saying, “Yea, but they held their gaps and OL so that the linebackers could make plays right?” and my answer would be not really.

If that was the game plan they should have gotten away from it immediately as the Dolphins could seemingly have had any RB in the NFL run for 5 YPC for stretches during the game.

Honestly I don’t think there is a lot of hope for this defensive line unless Pees calls some blitzes to help get some one on one matchups. Otherwise this is going to be a long year.
