Wide Receiver: D

Taywan Taylor dropped a touchdown pass and I don’t think Matthews was even targeted. That can not happen. They both have to be prominent in this offense and need to make plays.

Taylor played just 9 snaps which is criminal, but when you drop a pass like he had it makes it even harder to get out on the field. Right now he is a “what if?” and during the preseason he made me believe he could be more.

Tajae Sharpe had a nice catch for 17 yard, but the real WR1 was Corey Davis who ended the day with 6 receptions for 62 yards.

Davis had a critical 3rd down conversion early where caught a pass that was behind him. He also caught a screen for a nice, easy 10 yard catch and run in the middle of the game.

More is going to be expected of this unit with Delanie Walker out and if Taywan Taylor or Rishard Matthews don’t step up this passing offense is doomed.
