Tennessee Titans Saturday: 5 college football players to watch

Deebo Samuel WR, South Carolina

5’11, 215 lb.

While the other players on this list are all likely first rounders, I am not sure about Samuel. Don’t get me wrong, he is as explosive and as shift as any first round wide receiver in the last few years (alright, maybe not John Ross).

His issue is his injury last year, he missed 10 games last season which should have been his true breakout year.

Smaller receivers with an injury history are always scary prospects and teams just don’t want to gamble first round picks on them.

If he can have a big game against the UGA defense it would go a huge way towards showing teams that, not only could he play against NFL-caliber talent but that he can take some big hits too.

Oh, and did I say that he led or was tied for the SEC lead in return touchdowns in 2016 and 2017? That is pretty important.
