Brian Burns EDGE, FSU

vs Samford

6’5, 231 lb.

Forget the athletic testing and the hype of what a player could be, Brian Burns was the FSU EDGE that stood out last year not Josh Sweat. Play after play it was Burns who was the superior prospect.

So far this year Burns has already racked up two TFLs and a sack and a half in just one game. He has a chance to have a really good year in spite of the fact that it looks like he won’t have much of a team around him.

His length and athleticism are perfect for this defense. He can line up all over the front seven and would pair well with the hybrid defense that Harold Landry and Rashaan Evans are perfect for.
