Rashan Gary DL, Michigan

vs Western Michigan

6’5, 280 lb.

All the concentration at the top of the draft is on Ed Oliver and Nick Bosa, but in a tier below the elite two defenders in this class is Gary.

If the season goes according to the Titans plans, then the top two won’t be anywhere near where Tennessee is picking. However, Gary is one of those player that could slide like Jonathan Allen.

While he has flashes of dominance show up often, his size is going to get him into trouble. He is long, but he isn’t really heavy enough to be a traditional DT and he isn’t light enough to be a 4-3 DE. That is why I think he could fall like Allen did.

The Tennessee Titans desperately need someone to step up and provide some interior pass rush outside of Casey. Last year Gary had 6 sacks as a true sophomore and he is the right type of player to make this defense even better.
