TE Delanie Walker

ADP and Positional Ranking: 79th overall, 8th Tight End

Delanie Walker needs no introduction for Titans fans. He has been the team’s most consistent receiving threat for years and at times, was the only reliable receiver for Tennessee. Despite turning 34 this season, Walker shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Walker has been a top 8 fantasy TE at least in each of the last four seasons. This kind of consistency, combined with a passing attack that should improve under new OC Matt Lafleur makes Walker a bargain in the seventh round. Walker may not have the upside of a player like Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, but he brings a fantasy roster consistency on a week to week basis for a fraction of the investment of other TEs.

Waiting to draft Walker gives you comparable value to TEs like Greg Olsen or Evan Engram for a fraction of the cost, allowing you to draft more contributors at running back and wide receiver early, which makes him a smart selection for owners who are willing to be patient at the tight end position.
