Which Tennessee Titans Players Should You Target in Your Fantasy Drafts?
By Max Dambach
QB Marcus Mariota
ADP and Positional Ranking: 137th Overall,17th Quarterback
Mariota burned a lot of fantasy owners who were projecting a top ten fantasy season from a dual threat passer on the rise. Low yardage totals, few touchdowns, and a large number of interceptions made Mariota one of the lowest scoring fantasy quarterbacks in 2017 and a common sight on the waiver wires.
That said, 2017 has been an exception rather than the norm in Mariota’s career. With a new coaching staff and an offseason to recover from his poor 2017 performance, Mariota should get back on track as one of the league’s top young passers. At this point, in twelve man leagues, Mariota is being drafted as a backup, which makes sense given that he has never been a top ten quarterback, is coming off of a down year, and has never played 16 games in a season.
Furthermore, Mariota does not need to be a wildly productive quarterback with such a talented running back duo behind him, which drives down his fantasy value further. Target Mariota if you have already locked in an established fantasy option like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees.
