Arizona Cardinals: Robert Nkemdiche DL

I don’t know how many people remember, but heading into the 2015 college football season, Nkemdiche was being talked about as one of the top two or three players in the upcoming draft class.

  • It was supposed to be the year that Ole Miss transformed themselves into a true SEC caliber team, lead by the trio of Laquon Treadwell, Laremy Tunsil and Nkemdiche. While the season was a success, that seems to be their peak.

None of those three have gone on to be what they were billed at in the NFL, with Nkemdiche being the one of the three that has produced the least.

    Why would he be available?

With just one sack in two years, there isn’t a lot of love for Nkemdiche in the building. Think of him as the Arizona version of Kevin Dodd. The difference is, Nkemdiche is far more athletic despite being nearly 30 pounds heavier coming out of college.

What would he bring to the Titans?

The Titans don’t necessarily need another starter on the defensive line, but they have preached versatility and he would bring that. If the Titans want to take a chance on someone that has a real chance at being above average, for a cheap price this is a good option.
