Winner: OLB Kevin Dodd

Although he may not seem like a winner after the Titans selected Harold Landry in the second round, Kevin Dodd appears to have earned another shot after the Titans made Landry their only significant pickup at the edge rusher position this offseason. Dodd should receive opportunities as the team’s fourth pass rusher this season to finally live up to his lofty draft status and shed the dreaded bust label that has begun to pop up. Dodd never seemed to fit in Dick LeBeau’s defensive scheme as an outside linebacker, and injuries seemed to constantly set him back over his first two seasons in Nashville. Clearly, Vrabel sees the potential in Dodd that made him a former second round selection and hopes that a new scheme and coaching staff will be exactly what Dodd needs to take that next step and replicate his college success in the pros.
