Round 2, Pick 34: Lorenzo Carter, EDGE, UGA

Now that the Titans have traded back to the top of the second round, they will likely have a couple of options at the pass-rushing position like Arden Key, Sam Hubbard, and Kemoko Turay–who all would have felt like a reach at 25, but not at 34. Faced with a number of options at the position, the Titans elect to add Lorenzo Carter out of the University of Georgia to bolster their pass-rushing rotation and potentially take over for Derrick Morgan or Brian Orakpo next season.

Carter was a former top prospect coming out of high school, but he struggled to separate himself amongst other great linebackers coming out of UGA like Leonard Floyd, Roquan Smith, and Jordan Jenkins. However, he really began to come into his own in his senior year as a leader of the National Championship defense. Carter has the quickness, range, and length to make tackles all over the field and prove a menace to opposing quarterbacks. Carter is a prospect who can make an immediate impact for the Titans that also has a lot of room to grow into something special, which makes him a perfect fit for the Titans.
