Round 1, Pick 25: Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama

Rashaan Evans is somebody I mocked to the Titans well before free agency opened, and I will probably keep doing so until he’s physically off the draft board on April 28th. Evans not only fills the need at linebacker, but also helps with the hole at edge rusher as well.

Evans is a freakishly athletic linebacker who can play the entire field, sideline to sideline. He possesses this innate ability to knife through traffic and violently meet the ball carrier. The 6’3″ , 240 lbs playmaker also has the skill set to get after quarterbacks off the edge. Although that isn’t where you want to line him up every down, it may not be the worst idea to have Evans come off the edge while you have Jayon Brown in coverage on third downs. You don’t need to strictly draft an edge player to get production from that spot, but it would certainly help. With that being said, Evans has the potential to help the Titans’ defense go from good to great.
