Tennessee Titans 10 most likely 1st round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft

7. Hercules Mata’afa EDGE, Washington State
If you have been following me at all (which you should all do) then you know that I am enamored with what Mata’afa could be.
For me, he is the most consistently dominant EDGE player in this draft class even over Bradley Chubb. His testing and the fact that he will have to switch from “DT/5-tech” to EDGE detract from what the tape shows, so he probably won’t end up in the first round.
However, people writing him off because of what the bigger names in the media are saying is foolish. So far this offseason we have had:
-Deion Sanders say that he doesn’t know who Kevin Byard is.
-Pete Prisco say that IOL was a bigger need for the Titans than EDGE or LB.
-Lance Zierlein mock a tight end to the Titans in the first round.
Just to name a few so, don’t take their word as gospel. Instead, watch the tape, look at the analytics and try to make your own decision.
