Running Back

Top Free Agent: Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Affordable Option: Damien Williams, Miami Dolphins

In what is shaping up to be one of the strongest position groups in free agency, the Titans were never expected to be players for big names like Bell, Carlos Hyde, or Isaiah Crowell because they are looking for more of a complementary back to pair with young stud Derrick Henry and DeMarco Murray’s cap hit may be too much for the team to swallow in 2018.

That’s why the team has been connected to runners like Williams, who have flashed for other teams in complementary roles. Williams has never had a high volume of carries, but boasts a career YPC average of 3.9. He also brings a lot of value as a pass-catcher that can split out wide and handle pass protection duties, which provides new OC Matt LaFleur with a chess piece that he can deploy alongside Derrick Henry or whenever he needs a rest.
