RB Jerick McKinnon – Minnesota Vikings
This potential free agent signing is based on what the Tennessee Titans have in mind for DeMarco Murray in the future. He is already 30 years old and past the prime of his career. After a down year for Murray that was filled with injuries, the Titans could decide to cut or trade him in order to save money. He is owed $6,250,000 for the upcoming season.
If the Titans decide to part ways with Murray, they will need another running back to complement Derrick Henry. Jerick McKinnon could be the perfect man for the job. McKinnon’s game this year against the Chicago Bears displayed some of the skills that the Titans could incorporate into their offense.
McKinnon has clearly stated he wants out of Minnesota and is looking for a bigger role. The Titans would have to convince McKinnon that he could work alongside Henry and be an important part of the offense in OC Matt LaFleur’s new system.
