The injury report for the Tennessee on this short week is the most encouraging it has been since the beginning of the season.

The excitement is mounting for the Tennessee Titans, as all of the major players are practicing in full on a short week. Their injuries are healing nicely and will not be keeping any of the top players off the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.

Marcus Mariota – Quarterback – Ankle & Shoulder

This should be no surprise to anyone, but Marcus Mariota is going to play against the Steelers. The quarterback and leader on the field did not miss practice this week. This is a great sign going into the Thursday night game against the Steelers. Mariota did not look great against the Bengals last Sunday. He will definitely be looking to right the ship this week. Although it is a short week for the Titans, Mariota is ready to go and even proved it by saying “I feel good” after practice on Tuesday.

If that is not a vote of confidence, then nothing else would be one. Mariota will surely be his normal self on Thursday.

Delanie Walker – Tight End – Wrist

Like Mariota, Delanie Walker injured himself in the game against Cincinnati. Also like Mariota, the Titans tight end is going to play on Thursday. Walker has been fighting injuries for most of the season. Luckily, it has not kept the veteran off of the field too often. The wrist injury is nothing serious and Walker has been able to practice this week without any setbacks. Look for Walker to have a decent game as a main target for Mariota.

Quinton Spain – Guard – Toe

The infamous turf toe is healed. Quinton Spain will be back with the offensive line this week. That is welcome news to Mariota and the running backs on the roster. This is not to say that Brian Schwenke was not doing a good job, but Spain was excellent last season and so far this season. Spain has been able to practice this week with no hiccups. This news will change the dynamic of the offensive line and bring much needed stability to the position.
