Week 7 Results: Defeated the Indianapolis Colts 27-0

What it Means: The Jaguars’ effort against the Indianapolis Colts probably was the final nail in the coffin for the Colts’ season. Even without Leonard Fournette, the Jaguars put up 27 on the Colts and won the game before the second half. Blake Bortles gets a lot of flack, but give credit where credit is due: Bortles had a fantastic performance in Week 7, with 330 yards and a touchdown as he marched the offense up and down the field.

On defense, the Jaguars shut down an anemic Colts offense, as expected. Without a dominant running game that has proven to be Jacksonville’s achilles heel, the Jaguars pass defense was able to completely shut down Jacoby Brissett and T.Y. Hilton. Heading into their bye, Jacksonville has to be feeling good about how they are exceeding expectations and playing great football.

What’s Next: The Jaguars get a Week 8 bye before their Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
