NASHVILLE, TN – SEPTEMBER 10: Adoree’ Jackson /

Overachiever: Adoree’ Jackson

4 Tackles, 2 Pass Deflections, 35 yd Kick Return

I’ll bet nobody expected this! Adoree’ Jackson was thrown under fire in this game. He was targeted on seemingly every throw, knowing that he is playing in his first career NFL game. Although he let up many catches and left room for plays to be made, he also made plays himself and stopped some very important catches from being completed. I expected the Amari Cooper vs. Jackson battle would be a blood bath. They lined up across from each other almost the whole game. I expected Cooper to go above 100 yards easy and have two or maybe three touchdowns.

Instead, he had less yards than three of the Titans receivers and only one score. Jackson got his arm between Cooper and the ball on one play in the end zone and made a clutch touchdown-saving break up. Also, he hurdled a man on a kick return in which he showed his explosiveness and ability to create big plays out of nothing. More experience is needed before hand, but this kid is going to ascend into stardom. This game certainly serves as proof of that trajectory.
