Defensive MVP: Derrick Morgan

3 Total Tackles, 1 Sack

This is a tough one because the Titans defense was basically pushed around for most of the game. They had trouble getting quick stops. The secondary was picked apart, the defensive line got crushed by Marshawn Lynch (sorry Jurrell) and the pass rush as a whole was pretty decent. Not much stood out, but I let Morgan show his skills during trash time in the end.

He is the only player on the team that really handily took down Beast Mode on any play. On Lynch’s last run, Morgan showed no mercy and crushed him for a loss. This play matched with him not making any visible mistakes and also adding on a solo sack earns him the Defensive MVP award this week. For this game however, this award doesn’t mean too much. Its simply the best player of an overall bad team performance on the defensive side.
