The Tennessee Titans travel to New York to take on the Jets for the first preseason game. Here’s everything you need to know.

The Tennessee Titans finally open up their 2017 season with a Preseason Week 1 showdown against the New York Jets.

The Jets are coming off a 5-11 season and have only regressed from a talent standpoint. This is a season in which the Jets could possibly contend for 0-16. They do have a few young players who are worth watching, though, mainly Jamal Adams, Marcus Maye and Robby Anderson.

The Titans went 9-7 in 2016 and are primed to contend for the division title this season. The Titans are looking to make a statement, starting with the first preseason game. Quarterback Marcus Mariota will start the game and play a very limited amount of time.

Where and When

The game will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, although kickoff is usually delayed by about five to seven minutes.

Where to Watch/Follow

Television

In the local market, the game will be broadcast on WKRN News 2. The commentary team will consist of NFL Network’s Dan Hellie and Charles Davis, while Cory Curtis will complement them as the sideline reporter.

If you don’t live in the local market, your options will be limited. Fans can use NFL Gamepass, but will need to subscribe to it. Good news is a free seven-day trial option is available, and you can cancel within the first seven days before being charged. Given that the Titans’ second and third preseason games will be on national television, on NFL Network and Fox, getting the free trial for just the first game is a smart option.

Twitter

The Titans official account will be tweeting throughout the game, while you can get play-by-play live tweets from Jim Wyatt, Paul Kuharsky and John Glennon, among others.

Some of our Titan Sized staff members will also be tweeting analysis throughout the match. Make sure to follow Will Lomas and Luke Worsham during the game!

Radio

The game will be broadcast on the Titans Radio Network, which is region-specific. You can also listen in on the flagship station, WGFX 104.5 FM – The Zone, as well as on satellite radio at Sirius XM 380 and Sirius 134.
