2014 NFL Draft may have sealed AFC South for Tennessee Titans

What they did:
The Colts had a chance to really put some distance between themselves and the rest of the AFC South in this draft. They would have picked 26th if not for a trade. Lucky for the Tennessee Titans, they didn’t have a 1st round pick.
That’s right, instead they had something even better: Trent Richardson.
Whoops.
What a miss by that staff, they took a running back with some promise and whether it was coaching or whatever, they ruined his career.

What they should have done:
Picking where they did, they weren’t going to have a chance at any of the elite talent in the 2014 NFL Draft. What they had was a chance to land a great complimentary piece to that team.
They could have added Bradley Roby to their defense and paired him with Vontae Davis to give them a defense capable to adapting to different types of wide receivers.
Joel Bitonio may be a top-5 guard in the NFL right now and he was still on the board when they picked. In a division with Jurrell Casey, Watt and (at the time) Sen’Derrick Marks they desperately needed interior help.
Speaking of interior offensive line help, Weston Richburg was still available. It makes me cringe to think of either of those quality interior linemen on that offense to help Luck.
They also could have paired T.Y Hilton with Jarvis Landry to give them real offensive weapons instead of pretending like Donte Moncrief is going to pan out.
