Did this draft set the Tennessee Titans up for the future and destroy the AFC South?

Thinking about it off the top of your head, when I say 2014 NFL Draft it is hard to remember exactly which player each team picked. Still, it may be the draft that started the Tennessee Titans rise to the top AFC South.

In case you forgot the AFC South’s first picks were:

Houston Texans: 1st overall

Jacksonville Jaguars: 3rd overall

Tennessee Titans: 11th overall

Indianapolis Colts: 59th overall (we will get to that)

So let’s go in order, but we will save the Tennessee Titans for last.

At this point, the Titans were about to enter their lowest point in recent history. The were headed to just five wins over the next two seasons, but it wasn’t all bad.

Since this draft, Tennessee managed to grab a star quarterback, an All-Pro right tackle, a talented running back, and a player that I believe can be a top WR in the NFL in Corey Davis.

All of that started because of the first domino that fell in this draft. While the Titans started their improvements, the three other teams started their downward spirals.
