2011

Actual First Round Pick: Jake Locker, QB, Washington

Revised First Round Pick: J.J. Watt, DE, Wisconsin

What’s more sad: that we took Locker No. 8 overall or that I loved the pick at the time? You’re all going to think I’m joking, but I thought Watt would’ve been a great choice if the Titans didn’t like any of the quarterbacks in that draft. It turns out that the Titans should’ve just forfeited the quarterback position and continued to build the defense. Matt Hasselbeck’s career was winding down, but Locker, Blaine Gabbert, and Andy Dalton just were not options in this re-draft. Watt is the best defensive player in the league when he’s healthy. I wouldn’t have minded seeing him on our good side for once. Locker has retired from the NFL.
