2009
Actual First Round Pick: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
Revised First Round Pick: Mike Wallace, WR, Ole Miss
Wide receiver was the biggest need for the Titans coming off a 13-3 season in 2008. They took a young receiver who destroyed his lesser college competition, but this ended up being one of the worst Titans picks in recent memory. Britt couldn’t stay healthy, and when he did, he rarely made much of an impact with Kerry Collins, Vince Young, or Jake Locker throwing the ball his way. He never had a 1,000 yard season (until last season with the Rams); in fact, he never even hit 800 yards in a season. Wallace has his faults, but he’s had a much more productive career and has only missed ONE game in his entire career. The Titans would’ve been much better off with Wallace taking the tops off defenses while actually being on the field.
