Tennessee Titans Jon Robinson’s cornerback formula
By Will Lomas
2. Damontae Kazee- SDST (6 stars out of 7)
Kazee is someone I really haven’t gotten into as much as I should have by this point. However, he didn’t completely fail any metric and he had 17 interceptions.
The big issue comes with his speed from what I can tell. While he can take the ball away (and really that is 90% of what makes a great cornerback) seemingly at ease, if he can’t keep up with wide receivers then how much can his hands really help him.
The reason why Kazee ranks so highly on this list is because of how great his hands are. The only thing keeping him from a perfect score was his pass deflections.
However, if he would have just swatted some passes down instead of intercepting them (in the right proportions) he would have ended up with that coveted 7 out of 7 and really put himself in contention to be an ideal target for the Tennessee Titans.
