Wide Receivers: Mike Evans and Julian Edelman

That is a great group of wide receivers. Mike Evans averages over 1,100 yards in his first two seasons and looks like one of the best true number one receivers since the Julio Jones, A.J. Green class.

Julian Edelman has done nothing but be extremely effective as a diverse weapon in the New England Patriots offense. He is dynamic and quick and can win anywhere on the field which is why he was such a steal in the very end of the draft.

It isn;t surprising that there isn’t another wide receiver after those two because you have to remember that Robinson essentially walked on to a team that had Randy Moss and then who smoothly transitioned to Rob Gronkowski and Edelman. Then on his next team they already had Vincent Jackson who has been one of the most underrated receivers in the league in his career.

However, essentially solving two different team’s wide receiver needs in one draft each and with very solid FA pickups is a testament in itself.
