The Tennessee Titans are at a crossroads right now. While Mike Mularkey was never supposed to be the next head coach of this team, he has a 2-3 record with a loss against undefeated Carolina and he should have had a win against the Oakland Raiders if not for a blown call.

However, when comparing him to some of the potentially available coaches around the league, I think the Titans will ultimately choose to move away from Mularkey and head in a new direction.

If you want my two cents, Hue Jackson is a hard man to turn down if he is willing to take the job. He is about to take the Cincinnati Bengals to the playoffs and he will have double digit wins just 12 weeks into the season.

Not only is he retooling the Bengals offense into the best it has been in a decade or more, he also has experience as a defensive coach as an assistant earlier in his career. With a complete grip on both sides of the ball the Titans would have a smart, well balanced coach for the first time.

Let’s look at how he could turn the Titans around immediately.
