2nd round picks

The New NFL Draft (Tyler): Jack Conklin OT, Michigan State

With the First Pick: C.J. Prosise RB, Notre Dame

Charlie Campbell: Corey Coleman WR, Baylor

I like all of these picks to a degree.

My favorite combination of any of these draft picks is to take Bosa in round one and grab Jack Conklin in round two. Conklin is a great right tackle prospect to me. While he doesn’t have great kick slide agility in pass protection, he is a mean blocker who puts people on the ground, just ask Shawn Oakman.

He would pair well mentally with Taylor Lewan and you wouldn’t have to have two players playing new positions, just one.

Corey Coleman is also another great option if he is available. His ability to go up and get balls is very impressive and he wins on the outside easily. He also can be a special kick returner and has enough diversity to move all around on the offense.

Prosise is a nice prospect and I have a fringe first round grade on him. However, I think he needs somewhere with a better offensive line because he is a glider who does good things after clearing the line of scrimmage rather than a bruising type running back who can get through contact easily.

One player I would have liked to see one this list is William Jackson CB, Houston. He looks great and constantly disrupts passes. I think because he didn’t get to play in the biggest game on his schedule (Memphis) teams will be afraid to grab him in the first round. However, he is a talented cornerback who would sure up this defensive unit in round two, while allowing them to take BPA in round one.
