Head coach Ken Whisenhunt has done some experimenting with his big guys up front, and I think he has found a solution. It’s one that veteran guard Andy Levitre is not going to like.

And the answer is, Taylor Lewan at left tackle, Byron Bell at left guard, Chance Warmack at right guard and rookie Jeremiah Poutasi at right tackle.

Unlike last week when Levitre was in the lineup, they were able to hold off a veteran defense with the Rams, and open some early holes for Bishop Sankey.

This unit dominated the line of scrimmage during their time in the game, and although there was some pass rush, it wasn’t enough to rattle the young quarterback.

Second-year tackle Lewan has boasted during camp that this unit needs to have an attitude and play with a chip on their shoulder. They did!

The big question going forward is what to do with Andy Levitre. His contract is too large for a backup, and unless he gets into what Whisenhunt wants to do, he might well be on his way to another team.
