Look, I don’t know how you can do better than Marcus Mariota did on Friday. The stat line doesn’t exactly bear it out the way it happened, but even the stat line is clearly the best on this list if you know that he could have had a touchdown on his last drive if the Tennessee Titans would have let him throw it.

The interception was entirely on Bishop Sankey when he stopped his route, but even that was a great throw if the player had finished the route.

He had an elite 88% completion percentage including going 5-for-5 on his scoring drive. He also threw at a clip of 11.75 YPA, which is great for a rookie because it means that he was confident in his throws and didn’t take check downs.

Marcus Mariota also had a chance to put up some nice yards rushing, but instead he sat in the pocket and made smart decisions with his arm. He is going to be a stud if the Tennessee Titans can get this offensive line right and he is clearly the leader in that huddle.

This guy was clearly special, now let’s see if he can continue to build off of it.
