Jake Locker will likely sit out against Jacksonville

facebooktwitterreddit

Yesterday, the Tennessee Titans were hoping to see quarterback Jake Locker to return to practice, but as it appears, Locker’s right thumb injury is a little more serious then expected.

Due to missing two straight practices this week, it is becoming less likely for Jake Locker to suite up against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. If Locker has to sit out against the Jaguars, Coach Whisenhunt will resort to clipboard professional back-up quarterback, Charlie Whitehurst. Whitehurst marveled us with two quick touchdown passes once he enter the game against Cleveland last Sunday. But, the stunning performance was short lived, as the Titans quickly blew a 25 point lead in the second half. Whitehurst was also response for a failed quarterback sneak that resulted in a turnover on downs, and gave the Browns the decisive victory.
