A rookie quarterback who endures three knee injuries? It’s time to protect him, especially when he’ll take enough hits from his mobile style. Buffalo has their choice between Greg Robinson and Jake Matthews. Many scouts consider Robinson to have the higher ceiling but Matthews is much more established, especially as a pass-blocker. Matthews has proven that he could block for Johnny Manziel, who’s known for holding on to the football for long periods of time while scrambling all around.
Buffalo’s situation means that Matthews over Robinson is the preferred decision. If Matthews were taken at No. 6, then Buffalo would settle for Robinson.
Realistic Preferred Options if Fell:
- Khalil Mack, DE/LB
