Tennessee Titans: 5 Potential Breakout Player Hopefuls for 2014

Taylor Thompson (Tight End)

A converted defensive end, Thompson has raw athletic ability that hasn’t yet translated in two seasons with the Titans thanks to suspect hands and inconsistent route-running ability. With that said, the sky is the limit for him in terms of size and athleticism. The hope for 2014 at the very least needs to be that Thompson can develop into a legit red-zone threat. Delanie Walker is locked into the starting role, but the offense would be much more dangerous if Thompson could end up being a factor inside the 20-yard line. If he can’t make the leap in his third season, Tennessee’s new regime could close the book on this experiment.
