Trent Murphy, OLB, Stanford

Murphy is right up there with Crichton. You could probably toss Kony Ealy and Dee Ford into the mix here, but Murphy is much more likely to slide into round two than those two, as he’s a less imposing athlete. Murphy is no slouch, though, as he’s extremely balanced with the ability to both rush the passer and sniff out the run. He has ideal size and athleticism for the 3-4 system and can even drop back into coverage. His lack of elite athleticism is what may keep him out of the first round. If he does indeed slide to round two, Tennessee could be waiting to pounce on him or the aforementioned Crichton.
