Five Quarterbacks the Tennessee Titans Should Target in 2014 NFL Draft

Tajh Boyd (Clemson)

You could probably replace Boyd here with Stephen Morris, Logan Thomas and maybe 2-3 other deserving passers, but he arguably has the most upside of them all. A dual threat who can carve up defenses with his arm or take off as a runner, Boyd’s athleticism and solid production make him an interesting prospect.

There’s also a major downside: Boyd is definitely undersized. Accuracy and decision-making have been issues at times. A pretty weak showing during Senior Bowl week also hurt his stock considerably. The main thing with Boyd is a lack of consistency. Some games he’s insanely accurate and impossible to stop, and others he’s turning the ball over or missing receivers.

With a guy somewhat similar already on the roster in Locker, Boyd makes less sense than the four guys above him, however.

One way or another, the play under center needs to improve if the Titans are going to get better in 2014. Whether that means one of these guys mentioned above is the one to help Tennessee turn the corner, however, remains to be seen.
