The Vikings need their quarterback of the future. Adrian Peterson is getting somewhat up there in age, and they will need someone to carry the team when his time is up. Derek Carr has the looks of a franchise quarterback. There are no doubts about his arm and his accuracy, though his pocket awareness has drawn some flack. But that sort of thing is coachable, and Carr has shown that he is willing to do what’s best for his team. Vikings fans will be happy if they are able to land him.
