Joshua: Week 11 featured Matthew McGloin making his first NFL start. McGloin had an impressive debut in a 28-23 victory over the Houston Texans. There’s some speculation that McGloin may keep the starting job when Terrelle Pryor recovers from his nagging knee injury. What’s your take on this quarterback situation?

Chase: As much as I like the potential of Terrelle Pryor blending his athleticism with the type of ability to make reads that is needed to thrive in the modern NFL, we just have yet to see it happen. Pryor has became very easy to figure out due to how long he hangs on to the football and his challenges in making tight throws, right now McGloin is showing the ability to read the defense (a good one in the Texans) and deliver the football in a way Pryor can’t. For the time being Dennis Allen and the rest of the Raiders staff would be wise to see where this McGloin thing plays out while Pryor heals a sore knee.
