A cornerback’s best ally is a front seven that pressures the quarterback. Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner have both looked like lockdown cornerbacks. Through four games, opposing quarterbacks have a 12.9 quarterback rating when they throw at Verner. Haven’t seen much of nickelback Coty Sensabaugh. Usually, it’s a good thing when a cornerback doesn’t get much face time.

Love the energy that Bernard Pollard brings to this defense. Even Michael Griffin is out there hitting people. Only concerns are some shoddy tackling and slow starts on opening possessions. Don’t want to get down 7-0 right out of the gate. That’s happened two out of four games. Would’ve been three of four if Ben Roethlisberger didn’t fumble (technically, 9-0).
