I had this team starting 2-2. They’re 3-1. They’ve exceeded my expectations. They’ve certainly exceeded the expectations of critics who thought they’d lose their first three games.

This team has developed an identity on both sides of the football. General manager Ruston Webster has done a fine job constructing a roster with the perfect blend of young talent and veteran leadership, a trait that was desperately lacking from the 2012-13 edition. Give credit to Mike Munchak, who has done an admirable job improving his coaching staff and doing what’s necessary to field a better team.

B+. Locker hits Britt in stride on that quick slant? Would’ve been an A (remember…I don’t do minus-grades). Very good first quarter showing. Let’s keep it up.

Grade: B+

Agree or disagree with these grades? Let us know in the comments, Twitter or Facebook. While you’re at it, give us your grades, too! You can even grade my report card.

Watch for the midterm to come out during the bye week (late October), the third quarter to come out in December, a final exam to come out in January and “extra credit” after the Super Bowl 😉
