Waiver

I know what you’re thinking, and yes, this is the third straight week that I’ve recommended a Cleveland Brown as the waiver wire pickup of the week. I could’ve said something obvious, like Eddie Royal or James Starks, but that wouldn’t have helped you out at all. If you didn’t just know on your own that they would be hot waiver-wire pickups, then I can guarantee you heard it somewhere else already. The point is, with no Trent Richardson to lean on, Gordon will be a huge part of the game plan. He’s the most dynamic player left on this team.

David: Marlon Brown vs. Houston Texans
Only owned in 7.9 percent of ESPN leagues, Brown is still quite an unknown receiver for the Ravens. After Jacoby Jones injured his knee in the season opener, the undrafted rookie out of Georgia has stepped into the No. 2 wide receiver role for the defending Super Bowl champions. Brown has caught four balls on six targets in each of his first two games, as well as finding the end zone in each contest. He’s a big target (6’5”, 216 lbs) with sure hands who will continue to develop chemistry with Joe Flacco as the season progresses.

Matt: James Starks @ Cincinnati Bengals
The waiver-wire pickup of the week James Starks.  With Eddie Lacy sidelined because of a concussion, Starks will again lead the Packers running attack.  In Week 2, Starks had 20 carries for 132 yards and one touchdown.  I expect maybe 80 yards this week and a score.
