Justin: Chiefs D/ST @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Chiefs defense was 31st in fantasy scoring last season. The Chiefs defense also sent six players to the Pro Bowl so they do have some talent. With a new coaching regime, that talent could turn into something worth fielding this year. Regardless of how you feel about the Chiefs, they’re playing the Jaguars this week. If you think the Jaguars are going to put up a lot of points on anyone, then, well, don’t start the Chiefs D/ST.

David: Kenbrell Thompkins @ Buffalo Bills
It’s rare to pick an undrafted rookie WR as a breakout candidate, but Tom Brady can make any receiver look like a stud. Kenbrell Thompkins clearly won the starting job opposite Danny Amendola this offseason, leading the team in both catches (15) and yards (166) this preseason. Bill Belichick has an eye for talent, and he seems to have found a sure-handed receiver to start week 1 against an average Buffalo defense.

Bret: Vincent Brown vs. Houston Texans
Through attrition, Vincent Brown finds himself as the healthiest option at WR for Philip Rivers.  The third year pro is looking to finally deliver on the potential he flashed during the 2011 season.  Vincent Jackson is long gone, Malcolm Floyd is hobbled, and Antonio Gates is ancient.  Brown’s time to produce is now.
