Justin: Montee Ball vs Baltimore Ravens
Its always exciting to watch when your players open the week on Thursday night, but Ronnie Hillman is currently listed as the starting running back in Denver. Montee Ball probably cost you a high-priced pick on draft day, but until we know how Denver’s backfield will shake out once the season starts, I would avoid starting any Broncos running back. Wait and see what kind of workload Ball will receive this week.

Also consider the matchup: Baltimore’s defense. They went through a lot of turnover in the offseason, but make no mistake, they will still be one the league’s top defenses.

David: Eddie Lacy @ San Francisco 49ers
Eddie Lacy is a quick and powerful back, but he’s still a rookie facing a stout defense that only surrendered seven rushing touchdowns last year. The 49ers were the second-best unit against fantasy RBs in 2012, and they’ll be chomping at the bit after a tough Super Bowl loss. Look for Green Bay to ride the arm of Aaron Rodgers, avoiding the dynamic LB duo of Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman.

Bret: DeAngelo Williams vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks defense will return to its terrifying form again this year.  If you couple that with the fact that DeAngelo Williams averaged an inadequate 2.4 yards per carry in the preseason, then you’ll see that this isn’t the week to start Williams.  Cam Newton will again lead the Panthers in rushing Sunday.
