Observations

  • Broncos overcome defensive woes to take down the defending champs.
  • Titans “surprise” the Steelers at home with a physical win.
  • Bills show improvement but Tom Brady doesn’t enjoy losing to them. Pats win.
  • Sexy pick with Bengals but the hype might be real.
  • Don’t like the Dolphins but the Browns are still the Browns.
  • Saints prove their worth in Sean Payton’s return.
  • Buccaneers improved defense picks apart the circus going on in the Jets’ huddle.
  • Lions make somewhat of a statement win. Adrian Peterson balls but the Lions defensive line comes up big.
  • The Raiders are the worst team in football.
  • Cam Newton makes it a game but the Seahawks are the crème of the crop.
  • Chiefs have more talent, however, Andy Reid learns early that he has the wrong quarterback in Alex Smith.
  • Cardinals defense plays mean. Sam Bradford still isn’t ready for this level.
  • 49ers are great. Packers defense still can’t contain Colin Kaepernick or the 49ers defense.
  • Eli Manning plays better than Tony Romo. Giants win.
  • Michael Vick shows up huge in a shootout with Robert Griffin III.
  • Philip Rivers’ quality of play has dropped and so has the talent around him.
