4.    Kenny Britt vs. Kendall Wright

There is not much to say about this battle, either. Kendall Wright dropped his only target, and recorded just three yards on his lone catch. Neither player got very many snaps, seeing as how it was just the first preseason game, but the real take away I got was the involvement of Nate Washington.

I was not expecting to see Nate emerge as Locker’s go-to guy, but he sure looked like it with his two third-down receptions, both of which resulted in first downs. It was only one preseason game, so I’m not putting much stock into it yet, but if this turns into a preseason trend, Washington might make for a good sleeper pick in deeper leagues this year.

I was hoping to see more of Britt and Wright against the Bengals, but I don’t expect Britt to get many snaps with the way his knee has been acting up this week. Hopefully Wright can show off some of that speed and elusiveness that he’s displayed in training camp.
