Tennessee Titans Football Has Arrived

It’s that time of the year again! The time of the year when we can look forward to actual Titans news instead of debates on Jake Locker’s accuracy. That time of the year when NFL Network shows something worth actually watching instead of pointless player rankings. That time of the year when my boss yells at me for having Jim Wyatt’s twitter feed constantly updating on my work computer (completely worth it).  Football is here!

Football is here and the guy writing this is beyond excited! We finally get to see all the hard work the front office and coaching staff put in during the offseason come to fruition. We get to see if all the free agents live up to their hype. Will Bernard Pollard and George Wilson shore up the safety position? Will beefing up the defensive line with Sammie Hill, Antonio Johnson and Ropati Pitoitua make a huge (pun intended) difference against the run? What about the addition of Gregg Williams—will he be the catalyst this young defense needs to motivate and push them to the next level?

All of these questions will be answered soon enough because football is here!

What about the offense? Will everyone stay healthy this year? Will the coaches utilize the plethora of offensive talent? Will Locker make it in his “make or break” year or will his accuracy issues hinder him?

We will finally get to see this new and (greatly) improved offensive line work together as a unit. We will get to see top free-agent acquisition Andy Levitre form an alliance with top draft pick Chance Warmack and watch them conquer NFL defenses. Will this newly formed alliance help Chris Johnson return to All-Pro form?

Speaking of returning to form, Kenny Britt should be fully healed from his knee injury. He’s stayed out of the news and seems to be focused. Will he finally have the superstar breakout season we’ve all been expecting from him? Rookie Justin Hunter recently said he was 100 percent after a hamstring injury hampered him throughout OTAs. How much of an impact will he have? Will he take the top of the defense like the Titans thought he would when they moved up to draft him? Let us not forget about Kendall Wright, who did everything right last year. Will he return just as strong? Is he the next coming of Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith, whom he’s been compared to?

We will find out soon because football is here!

Personally, I cannot wait for all these questions to be answered. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for the upcoming season. The Titans have made all the right moves to put the team in prime position to make a run for their first playoff birth since the 2008 season. This season should be a great one so let’s sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
