It’s hard to believe that the Tennessee Titans played their last game on Dec. 30, 2012. Approximately 3.5 months have gone by without Titans football. Super Bowl XLVII was more than two months ago. Even free agency seems like a distant memory.
Around this time next week, the Titans will use their No. 10 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Until then, fans can discuss the release of the 2013-14 NFL regular-season schedule. Opponents were figured out as soon as the 2012-13 regular season concluded. All that had yet to be figured out was the ordering of everything.
The following is the 2013-14 NFL regular-season schedule for the Tennessee Titans. Here’s the Titans’ preseason schedule. Please note that flexible scheduling starts in Week 11.

Some quick observations with the schedule:
- The regular season will last from Sept. 8 through Dec. 29.
- On Sep. 8, the Titans open their season at Heinz Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- Home-opener is on Sep. 22 against the San Diego Chargers
- Home finale is on Dec. 29. In Week 17, the Titans will host the Houston Texans.
- Their bye week is during Week 8.
- On Nov. 3, the St. Louis Rams will host the Titans. Former Titans include Jeff Fisher, Cortland Finnegan, William Hayes and Jared Cook.
- The Titans have one nationally televised game. On Nov. 14, the Titans will host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. They’ll meet again on Dec. 1.
- On Dec. 8, the Titans will play the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos. It’s the first time they’ve met since before the 2012 offseason fiasco. Too bad it’s not in Nashville.
Just look at that three-game stretch to open the season: at Steelers, at Texans , and vs. Chargers. From Nov. 24 through Dec. 8, the Titans have a three-game road trip that includes two playoff opponents from 2012.
Looks like a challenging schedule. Hope this team is ready to come out of the gate. They’ll need a strong start.
