The Tennessee Titans have had a busy couple weeks in free agency and were active even before it opened up. With all the signings, cuts, and re-signings, there’s a lot to keep up with. Here’s the Titans moves thus far, which should encompass most of their moves for the offseason:
Signings
Re-signings
FB Quinn Johnson
Cuts
Pending
OL Fernando Velasco – 2nd round tender
Let Walk Away (Contract Expired)
DE Dave Ball
LB Will Witherspoon
DT Sen’Derrick Marks
OL Kevin Matthews
OL Kyle DeVan
OG Leroy Harris
CB Ryan Mouton
RB Javon Ringer
LB Zac Diles
OG Duece Lutui
LB Gerald McRath
DT/DE Leger Douzable
DE Jarius Wynn
LB Xavier Adibi
That’s the list of Moves thus far. The Titans could certainly still look to bring back some of those players after the dust has settled from free agency and the NFL Draft.
They’ve done well though. The draft should be an exciting time for the Titans. With the moves they’ve made this far, they can basically choose the best players available, though they could still use more help at the DE and OG positions. I don’t mean to kick the BPA horse, but it’s what is going to happen. It’s impossible to know which guys the Titans are hoping for with their first couple of picks in the draft.
One things for certain though, they’re shooting for players who will be able to immediately step in and contribute. A developmental prospect isn’t going to do them much good if they aren’t coaching for the Titans in another year.
