As of Monday night, the New Jersey police have said that Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt has yet to make himself available to them. Things are quickly getting worse. The police are looking for anyone that may know of Britt’s whereabouts:

"We are asking if anyone has any information about Kenny Britt’s whereabouts to contact the Jersey City police department, and that includes the owner of the Titans,” captain Edgar Martinez said. “Anybody who has information where he is or has a phone number where he can be reached, please contact the police department’s investigative division at 201-547-5460. He is still not cooperating."

One of the biggest reasons the police want to talk to Britt is because he was either at the scene of a shooting after the stabbing or left just before shots were fired. Police say they have spoken with Britt’s girlfriend, which is confusing, seems as Britt was married this past summer. I’m hoping that the wording is just wrong, because that would be the cherry on top of this incident.

Either way, Britt is managing this whole ordeal horribly and dragging himself through the mud. Britt had an anonymous spokesman release a statement for him yesterday, which is just as bad as anything else. It doesn’t seem that he’s been in contact with any of his management crew or the Titans.

This certainly has to have the Titans considering just how valuable he really is. Mike Munchak has been trying to create a professional atmosphere with a no-nonsense sort of attitude. Britt’s irresponsible behavior is getting ridiculous. He’s also facing suspension. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Titans cut their losses and go after one of the big name free agent wide receivers available this offseason.

It’s playoffs or bust for Mike Munchak. I certainly wouldn’t want to be banking on a irresponsible receiver who could be missing some games early on. Especially not an injury prone one.
